For over 15 years, dj Slam the Flap (f.k.a Mago Peppe) has been performing on stages throughout the Benelux. He has been part of several hip-hop formations and toured more than four years as a dj/actor in the theatre production, "Lege Ogen" by Ingrid Dullens.
Living in the Netherlands definitely broadened his taste for music, going from strictly hip-hop towards the more danceable genres. His dj sets got more divers and mainly uptempo. Besides showing off this scratch and mixing skills, the main goal is to keep the crowd dancing. Hiphop, funk, electro and house. From 70 to 130 BPM, anything goes and nothing is a challenge, as long as it keeps you dancing.
As a DJ but also a producer, "cutting & pasting" is his favorite way of approaching music. Playing with samples, loops, drums or visuals on this turntables, as a painter uses his colors for his brush. Slam the flap also uses Serato Video to perform visual edits were he mixes video and audio live on stage, making him besides being a dj, also real visual live artist.
Together with Adell Trio, Slam the Flap remixed 11 songs for their exciting live show. During this show, Adell Trio plays live guitar on these remixes. Besides being the dj and mixing the whole show, he also is responsible the visuals and projections throughout the show.
Jeroen is an artist who sets himself no limits, and he is therefore doesn’t has one fixed style. He let’s his feelings speak in his work and as he feels different every day, so is his work different every day.
Each work of Jeroen begins for him not with painting but with ''making a conscious mess''. Because he works with many different techniques such as stencil techniques, spray cans or markers or everything together, his work gets a lot of levels and great contrasts. Jeroen works on a canvas and with the materials that he finds suitable. This can be a plank, pieces of wood that he finds or simply every material that appeals to him.
He is also founder of "Studio Plofkip". A brand that makes "simply cool stuff". Think of backpacks, bags, buttons, T-shirts and more stuff you do not really need.
Sarkol is a member of the show band "Moro Allez". During the show he shares the stage with four musicians. While they provide the music, he creates a work of art, starting from a blank canvas. What he makes during the show is a surprise each time. On certain occasions the artwork may be offered for sale or donated to the organization.
